I just found out that a girl with whom I went to high school is going to be a grandmother.
A grandmother!!!
And the really scary thing?!?! She is actually looking forward becoming a grandmother.
I refuse to believe that any of us who were born in 1972 can possibly be old enough (either mentally or physically) to be grandparents.

You be livin' in Appalachia now, yeah boy! You ain't a gramma at 30, you must be UUUUUGGGLY!
That's only 4 years older than my husband; that's only 10 years older than me. We're not even parents. That's insane!
Believe it or not, Uncle Bruce became a grandpa when he was 36!
BTW - you are never on IM to talk to me...I miss you.
There are people who graduated with me who are already grandparents. INSANE.
But then I think back, and my mom was 40 when she became a grandma. I'm already 38! I can't even imagine, and I really don't want to.....
My mom was 41... that's only... well i'm not going to say how far away, but not long enough...
That's 6 years younger than me and my oldest is only 12!
My age really hit me a few years ago when I reconnected with an old high school classmate who said she had a grown daughter. I started to wonder, because she hadn't been pregnant in high school. Then the did the math and realized that we were just old.
1972? You are the same age as my baby brother...and he is too young to be a grandpa.
