I just realized....

in addition to our 15th wedding anniversary coming up at the end of the month, it has also been 15 years since I last pulled on a pair of jeans.

Sometime in the first six months of married life I put on too much weight to comfortably fit into my Levi jeans that were a staple in my college wardrobe. So I gave them up and turned to my husband's sweatpants and never looked back.

Huge mistake.

A friend of mine once told me that she never wears sweatpants for the simple reason that she won't allow herself to become that comfortable in a pair of pants.

Since I've lost some weight, I've been thinking more and more about trying out a new pair of jeans.

I just don't know what kind of jean to get.

According to Stacey and Clinton of TLC's "What Not To Wear" I should get a dark-wash, straight-legged, low waisted jean. But I need to know which brand.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

**Remember the days when you were cool if you had a pair of Jordache jeans?**

I got my package!!! Thank you! What a nice surprise! :) Attila LOVES the radio too! I will send you a proper note, but wanted to let you know I got it.

Now, Jeans. You need to check out Zafu.com - answer some questions and they will suggest brands for you to try. It's brilliant. I've also heard that the Ann Taylor jeans and the DKNY ones at Macy's are universally flattering- but I haven't yet tried them personally. Waiting to drop some baby weight first. I can't imagine not wearing jeans, I live in them.

I've had good luck with Old Navy Jeans, since I cannot bring myself to pay more than $25 for pants (usually my limit is $17). They have a variety of waist, leg, and fit styles so I can usually find something that isn't torturous. And their "short" length is just right on me.

I remember when the cool thing was those colored, over-dyed Bongo jeans. I wanted a pair sooooo bad but never got one. The style seems to be coming back around, so I could always buy a pair now...or maybe not.

I've also had pretty good luck with Old Navy and occasionally New York and Company. And I follow Stacy and Clinton's rules, too!

I've had good luck with The Gap and Anne Taylor Loft jeans. They have a variety of fits and go on sale a lot. I love Old Navy but apparently my butt crack is too sensitive to be exposed to all that air in their low-rise styles.
