Petit Juror

Today my husband is doing his civic responsibility.

That’s right folks, he has jury duty.

I suggested that he make a list of movies with a courtroom scene to pass the time.

These are some of my favorites:

1) A Few Good Men
2) To Kill a Mockingbird
3) Kramer vs. Kramer
4) Liar, Liar
5) Runaway Jury
6) The Verdict
7) My Cousin Vinny
8) 12 Angry Men
9) Adam's Rib
10)The Accused

Give me some more.

Miracle on 34th Street

Philadelphia

Jury Duty

Primal Fear

A Time To Kill

Pelican Brief

and a myriad of other Grisham books gone Hollywood. I just can't think of anymore right now...

That was fun!

Good for your husband.

I was going to mention Primal Fear, too. Also, "Suspect" and "Adam's Rib".

Oops...I forgot "Anatomy of a Murder" and "Witness for the Prosecution". :-) This is fun.

I was going to add the Pelican Brief and Philadelphia, but they beat me to it! I had jury duty this fall....the selection process was the worst, but I snuck wooden knitting needles into the courtroom and knit half a sweater for my neice - REBEL!
PS - I didn't get to knit at the actual trial.

"To Kill a Mockingbird"... Hands down, one of the best books ever.

Is it totally terrible that I can't think of a single one that hasn't already been mentioned? I could just list John Grisham movies...they all have court scenes, right?

On another note, do you subscribe to follow-up comments? If not, I responded to your comments on my posts over at my site so you can read them there if you're interested.

Umm...

No clue. It's too early.

Unless they made it to court in War of the Roses...? But I think they only showed lawyer office scenes.

Or Top Gun, but I believe his 'need for speed' was handled internally by the airforce.

Oh, I have one! Waiting to Exhale, when Angela Bassett's character is divorcing her husband...woo! That came out of some forgotten corner of my mind.

Perry Mason made several movies but they were only on TV.
