panache

This morning, while watching E!’s “The Daily Ten”, I was excited to learn that suspenders are making a comeback.

Suspenders were a fad that I fully embraced when I was in 3rd grade and my mother bought me a pair of Mork from Ork rainbow suspenders.

When I was in 10th grade, and on the cutting edge of fashion, in an aborted effort to start a trend, I bought a pair of red paisley suspenders at the thrift store for 50¢ and wore them with style and panache.

Soon after, the suspenders lost their allure and I went on to wear inside-out sweatpants (never with the legs pushed up though) mismatched socks and a Lebanon Valley College sweatshirt that I took out of the lost and found, worn with either sneakers or penny loafers and panache.

Always with panache.

I still have no panache. To this day. Oh and that book is called A Thousand Splendid Suns... I'm very interested in picking it up but it also sounds a lot like Not Without My Daughter.

I'm sure you wear everything with panache! You seem like a panache kind of gal. In fact, I doubt there's anyone in the world with more panache than you. (Can you tell I like the work panache?)

Thanks for stopping by to say hi. No, you're not a poor excuse for a blog buddy. I haven't prodded you to visit lately because, frankly, I feel a poor excuse for a blogger. Lots of mundane stuff going on and not much motivation to write about such dull topics. I'll get back on the horse eventually...

That would be a great name for ice cream. Panache.

I'm glad to see I'm not alone on trying to start trends. I've always been a bit girly that way and would love to be Gwen Stefani-like. It's just damn hard to pull off if you don't have a film crew following you around to get the word out!

I can say I have never sported suspenders.

I can also say you have the best entries.

What else can I say...ooooh...lots of stuff. Mostly about Rosie O.

Panache reminds me a LOT of "pancake." Which I love, of course, and now am craving.

I've missed you, you 35-year-old, suspender-wearing, perky-boobed, Vienna-finger-eating thing, you!

Now I'm back to stay, so get busy posting, please. I'm already caught up...

(hope you're feeling good, too. i think of you often, and send healthy thoughts your way. as opposed to the UNhealthy ones I send most people.)
