Today’s song would have been more appropriate over the weekend and the beginning of the week when it was a murderously hot 100°F
The first time I ever really heard and paid attention to The Talking Heads was when I was in college and working on the stage crew, building the set for Cabaret.
The head carpenter used to blast the Talking Heads and the Velvet Underground from the auditorium sound system. Up until that time I was really only a Casey Kasem’s Top 40 Countdown kind of a girl. Were my eyes opened!! I never really got into Lou Reed and the Velvet Underground but I still have a soft spot for the Talking Heads
