July 30 1994

Today is our wedding anniversary.

Today is the day that I haul out my wedding dress and put it on even though I can't zip it up.

Today is the day that I put on my wedding veil and headband because at least that still fits.

Today is the day that we take stock of married life and decide whether or not to go on for another year.

Fourteen years ago today, it seemed as though the world had stopped for everything but Tom and Jen getting married at 2pm.

Today however,  is the day that the garbage still needs to be put out, the dehumidifer still needs to be emptied, the litter box still needs to be cleaned, laundry still needs to be done, we still need to go to work.

We will keep the celebration to a minimum.  A nice dinner out most likely.  Or if Tom is too tired from working in the sun all day, maybe some takeout.

How do you celebrate your anniversary?

Happy Anniversary!~! Fourteen years...WOO :)

Let's see, I'm married over a year now, and we celebrated by going to Anegada, where we mini-mooned after our wedding.

It's actually a yearly trip with a bunch of friends, our wedding weekend is when Anegada hosts a regatta, so the first year we called it our honeymoon, and every year since it will be our anniversary celebration.

Enjoy your day!!

Let me think...
I was married April 3rd 2004.
In 2005 I was pregnant with Alex and we went out to dinner.
In 2006 I was so tired but we did get a babysitter and had dinner out.
In 2007, I was pregnant with Zach. We got a babysitter and had dinner out. I was 10 weeks prego and threw up the entire dinner.
In 2008, left kids for the in-laws and went out to dinner. Alex was not happy the next day and in-laws may not babysit for another 3 years....
For YEAR 5 in 2009, I am planning to upgrade our dishes.
NOW THAT IS LOVE!

I celebrate Jen and Tom's anniversary by acknowledging it has been 14 years since I wore an apricot bride's maid dress .....and the healing continues...

Happy Anniversary!

We went to our first homeowner's association meeting this year on our anniversary - woo hoo!

David is good at celebrating throughout the year with no particular reason - another reason why I luv him.

Happy Anniversary!

First we just try to remember the right day... it's March, 2,3 or 4th... it was Read Across America day the year we got married... We usually just go to dinner on the friday around then... sometimes we even take the kids.

First off... Happy Anniversary! You have ten years on us so you can be my mentor!

Usually the anniversary gig is just dinner out for us... but we have planned to spend our sixth anniversary in Hawaii (where we were married), mostly just because it's also the place my mom wants to spend her 60th birthday and both of those events occur in April. But, I don't care how it happens, just that we get to do something anniversary-ish at least once in our marriage. Now it's just a pain to figure out something to do on our anniversary, it entails finding a babysitter and having enough energy to still go out after work and all the other tedious events of the day. Reality is a *itch!

We seem to go camping. We try to make a weekend of it, and camping is cheap. But really, it's just an excuse to do something fun!

Good for you!
you know, it varies. We've had the "happy for Wendy's" anniversaries and the "go away somewhere special" ones...

Congratulations and Happy Anniversary to you! Here's to another 14 and many more!!!

We don't do much for the every year anniversaries, maybe dinner and the ever popular anniversary s3x. But the big years, every 5, we go away for a weekend alone. Wherever. Anywhere.
