Office Protocol

Is it bad form to clip one's fingernails in the office?  In the privacy of one's own cubicle space?

Tell me now, before I start clipping!!

If you have time to clip your finger nails, your boss needs to give you more work to do! It sounds like you are board. One clip or two to fix a rough one maybe, next thing you will be painting them!

dear anonymous,

for your information, i cannot type efficiently with long nails and furthermore it is spelled "bored"

so put that in your pipe and smoke it!!

When I worked as a receptionist I had a salesman leave a couple of nail files with his company name on them. I felt offended that he assumed all receptionists did is file their nails. What a stereotype! If there is ABSOLUTELY no one around I don't see a problem. Just don't get clippings everywhere. :)

I'd say yes, unless you were in a completely private space.
