Taking a Little Break

Hi there, this is Sanna.

Update from Jen; Friday after work as she was going up the front steps at her house she lost her balance and fell down the steps backwards and went boom. Luckily she had her hair in a ponytail and it cushioned the blow to her head.

However, she broke her lower left leg in 3 places (the tibia, fibula and one other crushed bone she can't remember the name of). She went into surgery Friday night and got 7 lucky pins in her leg.

She is recuperating at the hospital for a few days and will post again when she is home and has access. At which time she will be accepting all consolations, cards, calls and gifts. Reminder; red and green Oreo's are due on the shelves anyday.

Jen wants you all to know; the phone in the ER was orange, lunch Saturday included orange jello (she ate it), the betadine stained her foot a lovely shade of orange, breakfast today included an orange....it never stops, see?

Oh my word! That's horrible! I'm so glad she's okay and thank you for telling us Sanna!

Jen I am praying for you! Man, what a girl won't do for a little attention!

Let's all turn to page #6 in the Calling Dr. Bombay Hymnal and send Jen some blog love...

Poor Jen...you need lots and lots of presents. And yummy stuff to eat.

Feel better soon!

Crikey. That's going a little far to try to throw some drama in your NaBloPoMo. Breaking your leg? It's true dedication to the craft, my girl. True. Dedication.

So happy you have some orange in your life to perk you up. Can't wait to have you back, because that will probably mean you are on the mend. Heal well!!

Oh my gosh! That's awful! Thank heavens that she didn't get a head injury!

Ok... i know you just did this so you could get early Christmas presents... expect mine in two shipments and relax a bit, laugh, consume some extra calories and for goodness sakes, get better soon... (The second shipment actually won't arrive until mid Dec... as it hasn't released yet... on that note, is it sacrilegious to suggest that i might have found a new favorite to replace the princess bride??... but then with everything princess bride had, it didn't have DeNiro...)

JEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How terrible!

The downside- hospital stay, crutches, the unending questions about what happened.

The upside- painkillers, sympathy from the hubby, and many get-well wishes and gifts from your friends.

Get well soon!

OMG, JEN! If you didn't want to post everyday you could've just said so!

Seriously, I hope you have a really speedy recovery and aren't in too much pain.

And send me your address so I can send some Oreos STAT!

I was wondering why you hadn't posted!!! I'm so sorry about your leg, but just to let you know seven is my lucky number so you're well taken care of! Take care of yourself. It's nice to see you never lose your sense of humor!

I was wondering why you hadn't posted, but was hoping it was because you were on some great vacation.

Here's hoping for a speedy recovery. If you can possibly milk this for material gain, I suggest you do so. :-)

Oh my god. That is the saddest thing I've heard. How terrified she must have been. Thanks for updating us.

Your first semi-surprise is in the mail Jen. More will follow.

By the way - if you didn't want to continue NaBloMo, you could have just said so :-))

I am the worst person in the world for actual mailings. Remember that.

In the meantime, know that many healing thoughts are headed your way, and I hope that you're back up and at it soon.

So, do you sue your OWN homeowner's insurance to recoup your losses? : )

Please take good care.

Oh my, Jen, Jen, Jen. Heal speedily!

Have you now joined the elite club of: can't just pass through a metal detector, must present a card about the 7 lucky pins in your leg?

Ooh ooh, just found out that Project Runway premieres in less than an hour! Must stay awake to see, although I'm sure that they will repeat it.

Jen- First, I am so sorry you broke your leg! Ouch! I hope you are not in too much pain and I hope it heals quickly. Also, thank goodness your friend Sanna is such a good friend and told us the scoop, rather than impersonating you and making up scandalous stories about you for us to read while you were laid up. But the real reason I am writing is to let you know that tonight I went to the grocery store and when I passed the Oreos, I thought of you. Then I went back and bought some, all because of you.

Jen - I'm shocked that you don't remember the bones that you broke in your leg! Mr. Epley would be so hurt....:)
Orange huh, - lots of beta caratene - so who knows, maybe they've found a way to add it to orange-filled oreos? Ahem....
Seriously, I hope that you are mending soon!
