1) I had a Boston fern when I was in college. My friend Claudette freed it from a random front porch. She presented it to me late one night. She was drunk, Claudette not the plant. I named the plant Mrs. Shinn. You might know Mrs. Shinn by her full name "My Wife, Eulalie Mackechnie Shinn"
2) Our cat is named Althea, after the Grateful Dead song by the same name.
3) If we ever decide to get a dog I want to call him "Pilgrim". In his films,The Duke (John Wayne) liked to call people pilgrim.
4) I'm also fond of the names Wagstaffe and Pohlwhistle.
5) It is a secret dream of mine to open a party-planning business. The name? "A Cunning Plan"
6) Or a funky boutique called "Utterly Too Too"
Bonus points if you can tell me where I got the names for number 1, 5 and 6.
I cannot even tell you how happy I am that this month of lists is coming to an end!!!

#1 is the Music Man! (said the theatre geek in the back)
Oh My God! I truly believe we were separated at birth.
I actually tried to start my own party planning/catering company with a friend a few years back, but she bailed on me and well.... you know.
Our name - Behind The Bash. Giada stole it from us.
I am clueless on all three. I have a name for my band if I were to ever be a rock star - Robotic Hypnotic. Don't try and steal it.
I wish I could say I knew what the references were, but I can't. I am, however, waiting on the edge of my seat to find out where they came from. Whatever their origins, I think they're very clever.
But you're very clever, so that shouldn't be a surprise.
allknowingjen: you are a goddess and I think I love you just a little for knowing who mrs. shinn is
mk99 - we would make a good team, you cook and I plan.
teacher bee - never fear - i already have a rock band name
smtwngrl - awww shucks.....
I named my new car Honor Harrington after the protagonist of David Weber's amazing space opera.
Love your names. Always thought like that myself, 'if I opened a store' or whatever.
I know Mrs. Shinn is from the Music Man...but beyond that...not so much.
I fear (and yet I knew) I am not as clever as you. :)
