While we are taking a trip down memory lane....my favorite games when I was a kid were:
1) Candy Land
2) Hungry Hungry Hippos
3) Uno – Uno was HUGE in the fourth grade. When we had indoor recess we had mad Uno tournaments
4) Skip-bo
5) Memory – I kicked my sister’s butt every time
6) Jacks – onesies, twosies
7) Chinese jump rope
8) Connect Four – “pretty sneaky sis”
9) Slap the Berry Bird – a version of slap jack with baskets of fruit and a berry bird that likes to steal the fruit
10) Monopoly – my sister and I would play marathon games until one of us got tired
What games did you play?

i never had kid games. my family (adults) liked Aggravation, monopoly and Triple Yahtzee so as soon as they deemed me old enough to play, that's what I did.

Every now and then, I think about Hungry Hungry Hippos and wish we had it.
Battleship was my favorite growing up.
Hi! Thank you for your comment! I'm still alive, believe it or not. I'm just super busy and totally preoccupied with college basketball, haha.
Thanks for your movie suggestion -- it sounds interesting. I might just add it to my queue.
I have this weird obsession with Clue. I love it to death, and it makes me sad that three people are required to play it. I can never find a third person. When I studied abroad, I discovered that Britains call it Cluedo, which I think is really dumb.
Now that I'm older, group games like Taboo and Pictionary are way more entertaining than they used to be -- especially when alcohol is involved.
Twister, anyone?
